Dear Friends,
Live Changes
We have heard it said that the only thing in life that remains the same is change. Change is inevitable. We see it in nature as a harmonious rhythm of ebbs and flows. Trees produce blossoms in the spring and bear fruit then shed their leaves and lie dormant in the winter. The larvae becomes a butterfly. Tadpoles become frogs. There is a pattern in nature of beginnings and endings.
Small changes happen daily and we hardly notice. However, when there are unexpected changes and/or change seems to happen very quickly we may feel ill equipped to handle it. Even when we know in our logical mind that change is a part of life we may be thrown off balance or feel lost and confused.
“For everything there is a season; a time for every purpose under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1) Each of life’s changes involves a loss and a new beginning. No set of circumstances or material thing is here to stay. Even when we know that change is inevitable we may question and try to make sense of it.
Try as we might, sometimes we cannot make sense of what is taking place in our lives. The Bible tells us that God promised never to leave us or forsake us and that we need only to trust in him. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs: 3:5-6)
Much of the time the result is a blessing that far exceeds anything that we could have imagined.
Rich Blessings,
